These are recent life drawings where weren't allowed to take the pencil off the paper.
I've been looking at Japanese art, the artists Hiroshige and Hokusai in particular. I love their landscape prints and the depth of colour they achieve with them... so I just wanted to have a go :D
Sorry about the the bad quality photos! >_<
Over the summer i decided to practice drawing faces, the first is of my brother, and the next two are friends. The scarred elf-lady is a drawing i did of the princess from Hellboy: The Golden Army. I used charcoal/soft pencil for the first three drawings.
We're gonna need a bigger boat...
Was trying to catch the lightning of this most amazing storm but was too slow, caught the rain instead, almost like seeing the universe all at once.
My life drawings contributed to the final piece of my A levels. It was all about vessels and the female figure, (i wont go into it hehe), I painted onto hessian panels and then stitched colour to add definition and depth. I hope you like it :)
Allium and gunnera plants, weird and wonderful :) Fireworks and scales!
These are a series of life drawings i did last year during A levels, i would recommend it to anyone, it really helped to explore how i like to draw and improve upon it :)
